My name is Dena and WELCOME to my blog.
This blog was created to share with you some of the things that I love.
I have a passion for home decor, crafts, a good DIY project and anything related to relaxation.
I would describe my design style as “modern comfy”. Essentially, what that means is I like clean lines and contemporary designs that are comfortable, functional and practical for a family.
I am a wife, mother and Physician Assistant. My husband is an Air Traffic Controller and our daughter is a small tornado.
I currently live in Dallas, Texas and I am a country girl at heart. My husband says this part sneaks out when I get excited and when I walk outside barefoot. 🙂
Why Lone Pear?
Lone Pear was created out of the resilience of a 50 year old pear tree on our family farm. Every year we plant different fruits and vegetables on the farm for family and friends. Some seasons produce a great yield and others…not so much. However, that single pear tree bears plentiful fruit EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR.
The lesson that I learned from the pear tree is to not overlook what is right in front of you and those precious talents that you possess. Just walk straight ahead with will and perseverance.
Dream It, Think It, Believe It, Do It.
The light bulb went off and The Lone Pear was born.
Purpose.
My hope is that this blog inspires you to try something new and to get creative in your space. Remember, outside of your comfort zone is where the sweetest fruit lies.
